The Role Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Technical Supervisor to oversee daily QC activities, support mix design implementation, and ensure that all concrete produced meets project specifications and quality standards. This role focuses on supervising laboratory technicians and plant QC staff, conducting routine testing, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting major pours as needed. Key Responsibilities Daily Technical \& QC Operations • Supervise daily quality control activities at batching plants and laboratories. • Ensure all concrete produced meets QCS, ASTM, BS, EN, and project\-specific standards. • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, mix consistency, and testing procedures. • Monitor fresh concrete properties at the plant and job sites. Mix Implementation \& Technical Support • Implement approved mix designs and trial mixes as directed by the Technical Manager. • Provide on\-site technical support during critical or high\-risk pours. • Assist in troubleshooting plant, material, or mix\-related issues. • Coordinate with production teams for efficient concrete production. Material Testing \& Documentation • Supervise laboratory technicians and QC inspectors conducting material and concrete testing. • Ensure accurate documentation of all test results, batch records, cube logs, and quality reports. • Maintain proper calibration of equipment and adherence to testing procedures. Compliance \& Quality Assurance • Ensure compliance with QCS specifications, ISO standards, and internal QA/QC procedures. • Report any deviations, quality concerns, or material issues to the Technical Manager promptly. • Support audits, inspections, and external lab coordination when required. Coordination \& Communication • Liaise with site engineers, production staff, and logistics teams on technical requirements. • Assist in responding to client inquiries related to test results or basic technical issues. • Escalate major concerns, client complaints, or mix design changes to senior technical staff. Reporting • Prepare daily technical reports for management. • Track and report test results, material performance, plant QC performance, and site observations. Requirements Education • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline. Experience • 5–7\+ years of technical or QC experience in the Ready\-Mix Concrete industry. • Experience supervising lab technicians and QC personnel is preferred. Skills \& Competencies • Strong knowledge of concrete technology, raw materials, and field testing. • Hands\-on experience with concrete testing procedures and QC standards. • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation. • Effective communication and team supervision. • Strong understanding of QCS and international standards (ASTM, BS, EN).
