




Primary Purpose of the Job: Responsible for optimizing QET’s LNG short\-term trading portfolio. This includes matching LNG supply and sale, exercising contractual flexibilities, scheduling fleet rotations, calculating cargo deal economics, assessing freight trading opportunities, and optimally utilizing our storage assets and regasification capacity. This requires executing QET’s LNG trading strategy and originating optimization ideas to maximize portfolio value. Required Experience and Skills: Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership in energy commodities marketing, trading, or related fields, acquired within top\-tier international oil companies (IOCs), trading houses, or national oil companies (NOCs). **Core Competencies** * Advanced analytical and numerical ability for understanding and calculating LNG deal economics * Ability to mentally process and grasp large amounts of seemingly unconnected information to discover optimization opportunities * Deep expertise across the integrated gas value chain, with a strong focus on LNG, natural gas, shipping, storage, and regasification contracts. * Broad, multi\-disciplinary knowledge in commodities trading and marketing, supported by sharp commercial acumen and strategic foresight. * Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Adept at influencing decision\-makers and aligning diverse interests to drive impactful business outcomes. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Engineering, Economics, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a globally recognized institution. A postgraduate qualification (MSc or MBA) is highly desirable.
