Liaise with engineering, projects, and logistics for timely material delivery **Job Title: Procurement Electrical Engineer** **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-time **Availability:** Immediate joiners preferred (Must be currently available in Qatar) **Job Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled **Procurement Electrical Engineer** to join our dynamic team in Doha. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between the technical engineering team and the supply chain, ensuring the seamless acquisition of high\-quality electrical materials. This role requires a strong technical background in **Switchgears**, **Control systems**, and **Instrumentation**, combined with commercial acumen in **international logistics**. You will not only manage procurement strategies but also lead our sales coordination team to ensure client inquiries and orders are handled efficiently. **Key Responsibilities1\. Procurement \& Supply Chain Management** * Lead the end\-to\-end procurement process for electrical materials, including **Switchgears (LV/MV/HV)**, control panels, sensors, transmitters, and other instrumentation items. * Manage **international purchasing** processes, including identifying global suppliers, negotiating contracts, and issuing purchase orders. * Oversee **export and import** operations, ensuring compliance with Qatar Customs regulations, Incoterms, and international trade laws. * Monitor market trends and technological advances in electrical engineering to secure the best pricing and quality. **2\. Technical \& Sales Coordination** * **Lead and mentor the sales team**, providing technical support regarding product specifications and pricing. * Act as the technical point of contact for clients, following up on **client inquiries and orders** from initial request through to delivery. * Collaborate with the sales department to prepare technical offers and bid proposals that align with project specifications. * Resolve technical discrepancies between supplier offerings and client requirements. **3\. Project \& Stakeholder Management** * Liaise between engineering, projects, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites in Qatar. * Ensure all procured items meet project quality standards, testing requirements, and Qatar\-specific standards (KAHRAMAA, QCS). * Manage vendor relationships and performance, conducting regular evaluations of supplier reliability. **Qualifications and ExperienceEssential Requirements** * **Availability:** Must be currently residing in Qatar and able to join immediately or within short notice. * **Experience:** 3 to 5 years of professional experience in electrical procurement or a similar technical supply chain role. * **Technical Knowledge:** Deep understanding of **electrical materials**, specifically: * *Switchgears* (Configuration, components, and ratings). * *Control and Instrumentation (C\&I) items* (PLCs, DCS, transmitters, actuators, cables, and junction boxes). * **Educational Background:** Bachelor’s Degree in **Electrical Engineering** or equivalent. * **Logistics Expertise:** Proven experience in **export, import, and international purchasing** (Letter of Credit, Shipping Documentation, Customs Clearance). * **Leadership:** Demonstrated experience in **leading a sales team** and managing client facing operations. **Preferred Skills** * Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) and MS Office. * Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of contract law. * Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
