About this Role We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in designing, building, and scaling our SaaS platform. The ideal candidate is a product\-minded engineer who combines strong technical expertise with practical business understanding and can take ownership of backend systems from architecture to production. This role requires someone who has experience building and maintaining real\-world products, leading technical initiatives, and working closely with product, frontend, and AI Engineer. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. * Lead backend architecture decisions and establish engineering best practices. * Build secure, reliable, and high\-performance systems capable of supporting business growth. * Design and optimize database structures and queries. * Integrate third\-party services, payment gateways, communication tools, and AI services. * Review code, mentor junior and mid\-level developers, and contribute to technical leadership. * Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. * Improve system monitoring, logging, performance, and reliability. * Participate in deployment, troubleshooting, and production support activities. * Ensure security, compliance, and data protection standards are followed. Required Skills * 5\+ years of professional backend development experience. * Strong expertise in Node.js and Express.js. * Strong experience with RESTful APIs and backend system design. * Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL. * Experience designing scalable SaaS applications. * Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and security best practices. * Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Google. * Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments. * Strong debugging and problem\-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring developers. * Experience with AI integrations, LLM APIs, or RAG\-based systems. * Experience with micro services and event\-driven architectures. * Managing certifications like ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 1, SOC 2\. * Knowledge of compliance, legal\-tech, fintech, or enterprise SaaS products. * Experience working in startup environments and scaling products from MVP to production. What We Are Looking For: * We are not looking for someone who only writes code. We are looking for an engineer who understands products, takes ownership, challenges assumptions when necessary, and contributes to building a long\-term technology company. * The ideal candidate should be comfortable making technical decisions, mentoring team members, and working directly with leadership to shape the future of the platform.
