Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Employee Industry: Garment Manufacturing / Qatari Traditional ClothingDepartment: Production \& Quality ControlLocation: Qatar Job Summary We are looking for a detail\-oriented and experienced Quality Control (QC) Employee to ensure that all garments produced in our factory meet our required standards for quality, workmanship, measurements, finishing, and presentation. The QC Employee will inspect garments throughout the production process, with particular attention to the high standards expected for Qatari traditional clothing. The ideal candidate should understand garment construction, tailoring, fabrics, stitching, measurements, and finishing, and should be able to identify defects before products are approved for customers. Key Responsibilities * Inspect garments during production and before final packing. * Check fabric for defects, stains, marks, discoloration, or damage. * Verify garment measurements against approved specifications and customer measurements. * Inspect stitching quality, seam strength, alignment, and consistency. * Check collars, cuffs, buttons, buttonholes, pockets, zippers, embroidery, and other garment details where applicable. * Ensure the overall shape, fitting, symmetry, and appearance of each garment meets factory standards. * Identify defects and classify garments as approved, repair/rework, or rejected. * Return defective garments to the appropriate production section and clearly explain the required correction. * Conduct a final inspection after alterations or repairs. * Ensure garments are clean, properly pressed, folded, and prepared before packing. * Maintain QC inspection records and report recurring quality problems to the Production Supervisor or Factory Manager. * Work with tailors, cutters, supervisors, and finishing staff to reduce defects and improve production quality. * Help establish and maintain consistent quality standards across all production lines. * Ensure customer\-specific requirements are followed, especially for customized garments. Required Qualifications \& Skills * Previous experience in garment quality control, tailoring, or clothing manufacturing is strongly preferred. * Experience with Gulf/Qatari traditional garments or thobes is an advantage. * Good understanding of garment measurements, stitching, cutting, fabrics, and finishing. * Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects. * Ability to use measuring tape and follow garment measurement specifications accurately. * Ability to communicate quality problems clearly to production workers and supervisors. * Organized, responsible, and consistent in applying quality standards. * Able to work efficiently in a factory production environment. Key Performance Expectations The QC Employee will be evaluated based on: * Accuracy of quality inspections * Reduction in customer complaints and garment returns * Number of defects detected before packing/delivery * Reduction in repeated production defects * Compliance with measurement and workmanship standards * Consistency of finished garment quality * Timely completion of inspections Main Objective: Every garment leaving the factory should meet the company’s standards for measurement accuracy, tailoring quality, cleanliness, finishing, and overall appearance, while maintaining the quality expected from premium Qatari traditional clothing.
