Coordinating with project teams to control expenses and track change orders. **Construction Project Cost Controller** About the Role The company seeks a Construction Project Cost Controller with experience in tracking and controlling costs for engineering and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for budget monitoring, variance analysis, financial reporting for projects, and ensuring project execution within approved financial limits while achieving maximum cost efficiency. Responsibilities * Prepare and monitor construction project budgets from initiation through to closure. * Monitor actual costs against approved budgets. * Analyze financial variances and provide corrective recommendations. * Prepare periodic cost performance reports for projects. * Coordinate with project, engineering, and procurement managers to control expenses. * Track change orders and their impact on costs. * Review invoices and payments to contractors and suppliers. * Support project financial forecasting. * Ensure compliance with financial plans and internal policies. * Develop cost-tracking systems and improve reporting accuracy. * Contribute to project closure and prepare final cost reports. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Architectural/Mechanical), Accounting, Finance, or Project Management. * 3–7 years of experience in cost control or construction project management. * Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management. * Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills. * Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and project management software (e.g., Primavera or SAP). * Good understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC is an advantage). * Strong organizational and time management skills.
