Maintain strong relationships with suppliers **Senior Engineer – Procurement (Electrical)** **Location:** Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **Experience:** 8–10\+ years **Industry:** Oil \& Gas / Construction / Electrical Procurement **Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Senior Engineer – Procurement (Electrical)** with strong experience in electrical procurement, estimation, cost analysis, contract management, and vendor coordination. **Qatar\-based candidates are strongly preferred.** The ideal candidate should have **8–10 years of professional experience in Qatar**, with **mandatory Oil \& Gas sector experience** and preferably a background with a construction/contracting company. Experience working with major Qatar clients such as **QatarEnergy, Kahramaa, QAFCO, Qatargas, MEEZA**, or similar organizations will be highly preferred. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage procurement activities for electrical materials, equipment, and services. * Review BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements. * Prepare estimates, cost analysis, and commercial comparisons. * Manage RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, purchase orders, and vendor follow\-up. * Identify and evaluate suitable local and international suppliers. * Coordinate with engineering, construction, project management, commercial, and finance teams. * Manage vendor performance, delivery schedules, quality, and compliance. * Support contract management, variations, claims, and commercial negotiations. * Monitor procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of project materials. * Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders in Qatar. * Monitor market prices, material availability, and lead times. * Resolve procurement\-related issues in coordination with project and construction teams. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s Degree in **Electrical Engineering** or equivalent. * **8–10\+ years of professional experience in Qatar.** * **Oil \& Gas sector experience is mandatory.** * Strong experience in **Electrical Procurement**. * Construction/contracting company experience is strongly preferred. * Experience with major Qatar clients such as **QatarEnergy, Kahramaa, QAFCO, Qatargas, MEEZA**, or similar clients is an advantage. * Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, suppliers, and subcontractors. * Proven experience in: * Estimation \& Cost Analysis * Contract Management * Vendor Management * Procurement Coordination * Project Management * Commercial Evaluation \& Negotiation * Strong knowledge of the Qatar construction and Oil \& Gas market. * Good communication, negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills. * **Must be currently based in Qatar.** * **Transferable visa/NOC status is required.** * Candidates available to join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred. **Preferred Candidate Profile** Priority will be given to candidates who are: * **Currently based in Qatar** * Experienced in the **Qatar Oil \& Gas sector** * From a **construction/contracting company** * Experienced in electrical procurement and commercial activities * Familiar with major clients such as **QatarEnergy, Kahramaa, QAFCO, Qatargas, and MEEZA** * Holding a **transferable visa/NOC** * Available for immediate or short\-notice joining **Please apply only if you meet the above requirements and are currently based in Qatar.** Work Location: In person
