Negotiate with vendors for optimal terms and conditions Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer with experience in **Civil and Architectural** materials for construction projects. The role involves managing the end\-to\-end procurement process to ensure timely and cost\-effective delivery of high\-quality materials and subcontracted works, aligned with project specifications and schedules. Key Responsibilities: * Study project specifications, IFC drawings, and BOQs to identify civil and architectural procurement needs. * Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/subcontractors for civil and finishing materials, including concrete, steel, blockwork, waterproofing, façade, cladding, doors, windows, joinery, partitions, ceilings, flooring, paint, and other architectural finishes. * Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), and carry out commercial and technical evaluations of offers. * Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best terms in pricing, lead time, payment, and warranty conditions. * Coordinate with design, planning, and site teams to track procurement schedules and ensure timely material deliveries. * Ensure materials comply with project specifications and standards through submittals and approvals. * Maintain procurement logs and update procurement tracking sheets regularly. * Follow up on material submittals, samples, mock\-ups, and material inspections. * Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fabricators, and subcontractors. * Ensure compliance with local regulations and company procurement policies. * Assist in drafting and reviewing supply and subcontract agreements for civil and architectural works. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field. * 4–8 years of procurement experience in civil and architectural works within the construction industry. * Strong technical knowledge of civil/structural and finishing materials and systems. * Familiarity with procurement procedures, contracts, and documentation standards (FIDIC knowledge is a plus). * Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office and ERP/procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.). * Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills. * Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast\-paced project environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working on high\-end commercial, hospitality, or mixed\-use developments. * Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) or project management (e.g., PMP) is an advantage. * Understanding of local and international supply markets for architectural and civil materials.
