Career growth and development opportunities **Mechanical Engineer** **Experience:** 8\+ years **Employment Type:** Full\-time **Job Location:** Qatar **Preferred Immediate Joiner** Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Mechanical Engineer** with a minimum of **8 years of relevant professional experience** to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and managing mechanical engineering activities across construction and project operations, ensuring that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan, supervise, and coordinate mechanical engineering works throughout the project lifecycle. * Review mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, material submittals, and technical documents. * Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines. * Ensure mechanical installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications. * Monitor project progress, quality, productivity, and compliance with approved schedules. * Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to mechanical works. * Review and verify material requirements, technical submittals, method statements, and shop drawings. * Coordinate procurement and delivery of mechanical materials and equipment. * Supervise subcontractors and ensure proper execution of mechanical works. * Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports, inspection requests, and other project documentation. * Ensure compliance with relevant **Qatar regulations, international standards, HSE requirements, and project specifications.** * Identify technical problems and provide effective engineering solutions. * Participate in testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities. * Attend project meetings and coordinate technical matters with all relevant stakeholders. * Support project management with technical, commercial, and planning requirements related to mechanical works. **Requirements** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. * Minimum **8 years** of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering. * Previous experience in **construction, MEP, building services, or contracting projects** is highly preferred. * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation, testing, commissioning, and site supervision. * Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation. * Strong coordination, communication, problem\-solving, and leadership skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under project deadlines. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** and relevant engineering/project management software. * Knowledge of applicable international engineering standards and Qatar construction requirements. * Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a multidisciplinary team. * **Qatar/GCC experience is preferred.** * Candidates must be available to **join immediately** **Preferred Skills** * Project coordination and site supervision * Mechanical installation and commissioning * HVAC and plumbing systems * Fire fighting and fire protection systems * Equipment and machinery coordination * Technical documentation and reporting * Quality control and HSE compliance * Contractor and subcontractor management * Client and consultant coordination **What We Offer** * Competitive salary package based on experience and qualifications. * Professional and challenging working environment. * Opportunity to work on major construction and engineering projects. * Career growth and development opportunities.
