The Civil / Structural Engineer will assist the Package Manager and/or Resident Engineer in administering the day\-to\-day technical and construction supervision activities of the project. He/She will undertake the review of contractor submittals, including shop drawings, method statements, inspection requests, and related engineering documentation. The role includes site inspections, monitoring of construction activities, and verification of works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and quality requirements. The Civil / Structural Engineer will assist in identifying non\-conformances and support the implementation of appropriate corrective actions. Based on the format and duties outlined in the civil / Structural Engineer role. **Responsibilities** * Assist the Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer in carrying out contractual responsibilities associated with the project. * Review civil and structural shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), and other project\-related submissions. * Assist in the review of civil and structural shop drawings, method statements and corrective actions for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards. * Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements. * Perform site inspections, witness testing activities, and attend and carry out the inspection requests submitted by contractors. * Identify and report construction defects, non\-conformances, and deviations from approved documents. * Coordinate with interface manager and other engineering disciplines to resolve design and construction interface issues. * Assist in review of contractor progress, quality performance, and compliance with approved methodologies. * Liaise with contractors, consultants, utility authorities, and project stakeholders as required. * Provide technical support in resolving civil and structural engineering issues arising during construction. * Maintain records of inspections, technical comments, observations. * Support the preparation of technical reports, site instructions, and engineering recommendations. * Ensure that health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements are implemented within assigned areas of responsibility. * Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. **Experience \& Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering. * MME registration is preferred. * 12\+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering design review and/or construction supervision of infrastructure, buildings, industrial, commercial, or utility projects. * Good understanding of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, and associated civil infra works. * Familiarity with applicable international codes and standards, including ACI, BS EN, ASTM, and QCS requirements. * Understanding of local authority, utility, QatarEnergy, Kahramaa, and RLIC requirements applicable to civil and structural works. * Experience in reviewing contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals. * Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams. **Why Join Us?** * Collaborate in a multi\-disciplinary, innovative environment where your input shapes both standardised and bespoke solutions. * Join a team that values knowledge\-sharing, mentorship, and professional excellence. **Our Pledge to You** At GHD, we don’t just believe in the power of commitment, we live and breathe it every day.
