Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining current guest loyalty to Marriott. Contact potential owners by telephone to arrange package sales and preliminary tours. Encourage guests or callers to purchase, or schedule package sales and preliminary tours. Explain details and requirements related to attending a sales presentation for potential owners. Verify that individuals meet eligibility requirements to schedule package sales and preliminary tours before arranging a trip for the Marriott Vacation Club. Determine and award guest gifts as appreciation for being our customers (e.g., reward points, show tickets). Perform general office tasks to support Sales and Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, transcribing information, sending faxes). Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact for the "Fair Treatment Guarantee and Open Door Policy" process. Comply with company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect guest and colleague privacy and security. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate their service needs and fulfill them, expressing genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns raised by other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRABLE SKILLS Education:High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
