Logistics operations efficiency improvement Job Description – Building Materials Supply Chain Analyst **Job Title:** Building Materials Supply Chain Analyst **Location:** State of Qatar **Job Summary:** The Building Materials Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the supply chain processes for construction materials and building projects, including demand planning, inventory management, procurement analysis, supplier evaluation, and logistics operations efficiency improvement to ensure material availability at the right time and at the right cost. **Key Responsibilities and Duties:** * Analyze supply chain data related to procurement, inventory, logistics, and material consumption. * Support demand forecasting and material planning for current and future projects. * Monitor and optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. * Evaluate supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and on-time delivery. * Identify supply chain risks and propose mitigation solutions. * Support procurement teams through data-driven analytics. * Analyze construction materials price trends and market fluctuations. * Coordinate with procurement, project management, warehouse, and logistics teams. * Develop dashboards and reports on supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs). * Improve operational efficiency through analysis, development, and automation. * Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards. * Support contract analysis and participate in supplier negotiations. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Economics, or equivalent. * Minimum 4–7 years of experience in supply chain analysis, procurement, or materials management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sector. * Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and inventory management. * Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau. * Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar. * Strong analytical and quantitative skills with problem-solving ability. * Good understanding of construction materials and building project requirements. * Excellent communication and coordination skills.
