Participating in improving operational efficiency and reducing waste **Job Description: Industrial Systems Controller** Job Title **Industrial Systems Controller** Purpose of the Role To supervise the operation and monitoring of industrial systems to ensure continuous, efficient, and safe production; track equipment and automated system performance; and respond to failures in coordination with maintenance and operations teams. Key Responsibilities * Monitor industrial system performance using control systems such as **SCADA**, **DCS**, and **PLC**. * Start up and shut down production lines according to approved operating procedures. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with quality and production standards. * Detect faults and alarms, analyze root causes, and report them promptly. * Coordinate with maintenance teams to repair failures and minimize downtime. * Conduct periodic inspections of equipment and systems. * Record operational data and prepare daily and weekly reports. * Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures. * Participate in improving operational efficiency and reducing waste. * Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Required Qualifications * Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in: * Electrical Engineering. * Electronics Engineering. * Control and Automation Engineering. * Mechanical Engineering. * Or any related field. Experience * 1–5 years of experience in industrial operations, control, or automation. * Experience in manufacturing plants, power stations, oil & gas, or water facilities is considered an added advantage. Required Skills * Knowledge of **PLC**, **SCADA**, and **DCS** systems. * Ability to read electrical and control schematics. * Strong problem analysis and decision-making skills. * Proficiency in computer usage and **Microsoft Office** software. * Communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to perform shift work if required by operational needs. Work Environment * Work takes place in manufacturing plants, production facilities, or control centers. * Shift work and emergency response may be required.
