





**Key Responsibilities:** Review project specifications, standards, and client requirements related to painting/coating. Conduct inspections of surface preparation, environmental conditions, paint materials, and application processes. Check and verify surface cleanliness, surface profile, coating thickness (DFT), adhesion, curing, and finish quality. Monitor blasting, priming, intermediate, and final coat applications, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and ITPs (Inspection \& Test Plans). Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, non\-conformance reports (NCRs), and daily logs. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and third\-party inspectors to resolve painting/coating issues. Ensure proper storage, handling, and mixing of paint materials on\-site. Witness and verify holiday (pinhole) testing, adhesion testing, and other coating QA/QC checks. Ensure compliance with relevant standards (NACE, SSPC, ISO, ASTM) and project\-specific requirements. Support safety initiatives and ensure that painting activities are conducted safely and in line with environmental guidelines. **Qualifications \& Skills:** · Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (preferred but not always mandatory). · Valid Painting Inspector certification (e.g., BGAS\-CSWIP, NACE Level 1 or 2, SSPC). · 3–5\+ years of experience in painting/coating inspection, preferably on industrial or oil \& gas projects. · Strong knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation methods, and application techniques. · Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment (e.g., DFT gauges, hygrometers, surface profile comparators). · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and project documentation. · Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills. · Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and compliance. · Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and inspection reporting systems.
