




Primary Purpose of the Job: As a Principal Business Developer, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new business opportunities across the oil and gas value chain. You will support strategic initiatives including mergers \& acquisitions (M\&A), divestments, and commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with QatarEnergy’s long\-term goals and safeguarding the interests of the State of Qatar. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Advise on long\- and mid\-term strategies for upstream and downstream operations (LNG, GTL, etc.). * Identify and evaluate global business opportunities, partnerships, and ventures. * Support M\&A and divestment activities, including structuring and negotiation of deals. * Review and assess proposals from international oil companies (IOCs), national oil companies (NOCs), and partners. * Draft and negotiate commercial agreements (EPSA, DPSA, DFA, JVA, HoA, MoU). * Develop resources and insights across the oil \& gas value chain. * Contribute to budget preparation and business planning. * Represent QatarEnergy in international forums and committees. Required Experience and Skills: * Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil \& gas industry, with at least 7 years in business development, M\&A, and negotiations. * Proven expertise in upstream or downstream operations, market analysis, and financial evaluations. * Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. * High integrity, independence, and multicultural team spirit. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Petroleum or Chemical), Economics, or Finance. MBA is a plus.
