





**Job Purpose:** Assist in food preparation and basic cooking under the supervision of senior chefs, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organization are maintained at all times. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assist chefs in preparing ingredients (washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, portioning, marinating, etc.). * Support in cooking basic dishes as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. * Ensure mise\-en\-place (preparation before service) is ready on time. * Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and workstations. * Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures in line with HACCP standards. * Properly store food items and rotate stock as per FIFO (First In, First Out) method. * Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of food supplies. * Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction to supervisors. * Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain kitchen hygiene standards. * Work as part of the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef. **Qualifications \& Skills:** * High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training/certificate preferred. * Previous experience as a kitchen helper, steward, or commis is an advantage. * Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene. * Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment. * Strong team player with a positive attitude. * Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
