When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! As a **Food \& Beverage Waiter** , you’re not just providing food and drink service – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest. Here's what you'll do during a typical day: * As a Hostess, you are responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Hostess will also be required to have extensive knowledge of menu offerings. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: * Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu. * Full control of the guest flow including guest with reservation, walk\-ins, waiting list , table plan and seating * Read, maintain, and make daily entry to the reservation to coordinate communication between shifts and management. * Maintain proper set\-up of dining room based on the reservation and guest flow. * Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant. * Conduct daily briefings to keep staff informed of current promotions, daily specials, guest comments, daily events and pertinent memos. * Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner * Ensure knowledge of menu and all products * Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues * Practice Hilton Grooming standards including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene * Assists callers courteously and promptly, taking messages as necessary which are legible and accurate passing them on to the appropriate person without delay * Has a good knowledge of the restaurant's sitting arrangements * Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation **What It Takes to Make the Stay** At Hilton, our core values define what it takes to succeed here and guide the qualities we look for in every team member: A passion for spreading the light and warmth of **Hospitality** .
