As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Inventory Management Team in Doha as Cargo Inventory Planning Specialist. **About the role** In this exciting role, you will be responsible for working cross\-functionally to deliver and monitor regional action plans in alignment with the network O\&D optimization strategy defined by QR Inventory Planning Manager. Through the action plans QR Cargo profits will increase by optimization of O\&D mixes and improved load factors. The role will be responsible for producing efficient and effective action plans by involving stakeholders (Global Sales (Product \+ GKAM), Regional Sales, Revenue Management (Capacity, Pricing, Systems and Processes), and Network Planning) throughout the process. As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following: * Plan and execute the seasonal allocation round for the assigned region and ensure the proposed timelines are achievable through frequent communication with the main stakeholders in the region. * Contribute to the development of regional and RM strategies by providing analytical insights with regards to revenue, contribution and capacity utilization through QR cargo reports, and interact with the wider RM teams and sales to guide their actions. * Analyze market information and propose action plans through regular review of all available information sources in order to identify and capitalize on opportunities/focus lanes for QR Cargo for the assigned region. * Analyze traffic flows through market and QR information. Coordination with the wider RM team and Sales team to ensure that the right flows are accepted on the flights in order to accommodate revenue/ contribution optimal cargo flows. Propose corrective actions when needed for the assigned region. * Review network planning opportunities/business cases and provide the required inputs in order to optimize the network and increase revenue on QR flights. * Analyze RFQ requests and bundles in order take network oriented strategic decisions and align with pricing and sales stakeholder before the submission of the bid. * Develop and maintain department related dashboards in coordination with Bl and data teams. Implement the principles of a network\-based approach across RM by proactively presenting business cases at RM team meetings in order to optimize the network margin as opposed to individual flight legs. * Maintain direct contact with the regional teams by attending the scheduled meetings to exchange information regarding the real time market dynamic, capacity updates and other inputs that can impact Cargo Inventory Planning strategy. * Act as contact point for the network planning team and network related strategies by participating and presenting analytical insights at regular meetings. As a result, consensus on best practices for model inputs and underlying data needs to be established which in tum ensures consistency in approach across both departments. * Produce and analyze reports on all relevant aspects of the network performance through BI tools and the Seabury Cargo Module in order to ensure medium to long\-term optimization of KPIs (incl. Together, everything is possible. ### **Qualifications** **About you** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of job\-related experience. * Excellent understanding and previous application of Cargo Revenue Management processes and practices. * Proven experience of demonstrating accountability in managing effective working relationships and change management. * Prior experience within the Air Cargo / Logistics industry or related field. * Prior experience in working with O\&D optimization software (e.g. Rotate). **About Qatar Airways Group** Our story started with four aircraft.
