Familiarity with NFPA standards and Qatar Civil Defence/QCDD requirements **About the Role** We are seeking an experienced Firefighting Technician with strong practical knowledge of fire pumps, sprinkler systems, and fire suppression systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of firefighting systems while ensuring safe and reliable operation. **Key Responsibilities** * Install, inspect, test, maintain, and troubleshoot firefighting systems. * Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of electric, diesel, and jockey fire pumps. * Inspect and maintain fire pump controllers, valves, pressure switches, gauges, and related equipment. * Work on sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, hose reels, wet risers, and fire suppression systems. * Perform preventive maintenance, functional testing, and corrective repairs. * Conduct pressure testing, flow testing, and pump performance checks. * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pressure\-related faults in firefighting systems. * Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities. * Read and understand firefighting drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. * Maintain service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation. * Follow safety procedures and applicable fire protection standards. **Requirements** * Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, or a related technical field. * Minimum 3 years of hands\-on experience as a Firefighting Technician. * Strong practical experience with fire pumps and firefighting pump systems. * Good knowledge of sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, wet riser, and suppression systems. * Experience in installation, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Strong knowledge of fire pump controllers, valves, pressure systems, gauges, and associated components. * Ability to diagnose pump, piping, valve, and system performance issues. * Ability to read technical drawings and firefighting layouts. * Familiarity with NFPA standards and Qatar Civil Defence/QCDD requirements is preferred. * Previous Qatar/GCC experience is highly preferred. * Good communication, teamwork, and problem\-solving skills. * Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage.
