Ensure strict compliance with international and national drafting standards Job Title: AutoCAD Draftsman **Location:** Ras Laffan, Qatar **Industry:** Oil \& Gas **Employment Type:** Full\-time, On\-site Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Auto CAD Draftsman** to join our engineering team in Ras Laffan, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex engineering concepts, calculations, and sketches into highly accurate, detailed technical drawings. You will work closely with Pipeline Engineers and Project Managers to support major pipeline construction, modification, and maintenance projects within one of the world's premier industrial hubs. Key Responsibilities * **Drafting \& Design:** Prepare detailed engineering drawings for oil, gas, and utilities pipeline systems, including Route Maps, Alignment Sheets, Piping \& Instrumentation Diagrams (P\&IDs), Plot Plans, Isometrics, and Cross\-Section drawings. * **Standard Compliance:** Ensure all drafting work strictly complies with international codes (ASME, API, ANSI), Qatar National Construction Standards (QCS), and specific QatarEnergy/Ras Laffan industrial city design guidelines. * **As\-Built Integration:** Review, update, and modify existing engineering drawings based on site mark\-ups, redlines, and "as\-built" data collected from field surveys. * **Clash Detection \& Coordination:** Collaborate with civil, structural, and electrical drafting teams to perform clash checks and ensure corridor space optimization for pipeline rights\-of\-way (ROW). Required Qualifications \& Experience * **Education:** Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or a certified ITI/Draftsmanship certification from a recognized institute. * **Experience:** A minimum of 2 **years** of drafting experience * **Technical Skills:** * Expert\-level proficiency in **AutoCAD (2D)**. * **Regional Experience:** Previous experience working on projects for QatarEnergy, Qatargas/RasGas, or inside Ras Laffan Industrial City is heavily advantageous. Soft Skills \& Working Conditions * **Communication:** Strong verbal and written English communication skills to liaise effectively with multi\-national engineering teams. * **Detail\-Oriented:** A sharp eye for precision, dimensional accuracy, and clean presentation in drawing layouts. * **Work Environment:** Primarily office\-based in Ras Laffan, with occasional requirements to conduct site visits or field verification trips. Candidates must be comfortable with the safety protocols of an active oil and gas industrial city.
