Focus on safety and operational reliability of electrical infrastructure NEWCON is seeking an experienced **LV Systems Technician** to support the inspection, operation, preventive maintenance and fault rectification of low\-voltage electrical systems across our facilities, substations and infrastructure maintenance projects. **Key Responsibilities** * Inspect, operate, maintain and troubleshoot LV electrical systems and equipment. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules and checklists. * Maintain MDBs, SMDBs, distribution boards, control panels, ATS panels and capacitor banks. * Inspect and service ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, isolators, busbars and protective devices. * Carry out LV cable installation, glanding, termination, testing and identification. * Diagnose electrical faults, tripping issues, overheating, loose connections, insulation failures and phase imbalance. * Check voltage, current, load, frequency, power factor, insulation resistance and earth continuity. * Perform thermal inspection and report abnormal temperature conditions in panels and terminations. * Inspect earthing and bonding systems and rectify defects within the approved scope. * Support isolation, energization, shutdowns, switching, testing and commissioning activities under authorized supervision. * Replace defective electrical components and restore systems safely and promptly. * Maintain panel schedules, circuit labels, warning signs and equipment identification. * Attend emergency electrical breakdowns and support power restoration. * Maintain accurate daily inspection logs, test records, maintenance reports and shift\-handover details. * Follow approved HSE procedures, risk assessments, permit\-to\-work and lockout/tagout requirements. **Minimum Requirements** ✅ ITI, vocational certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline. ✅ Minimum **5 years of hands\-on LV electrical maintenance experience**. ✅ Minimum **2 years of Gulf experience preferred**. ✅ Experience with MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, ACBs, MCCBs, ATS panels and LV control systems. ✅ Experience in LV cable glanding, termination, testing and fault rectification. ✅ Ability to read single\-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel schedules and technical drawings. ✅ Ability to use multimeters, clamp meters, insulation\-resistance testers, earth testers and thermal imaging equipment. ✅ Knowledge of electrical protection, load distribution, earthing and safe isolation procedures. ✅ Willingness to work general, evening or night shifts and attend emergency calls. ✅ Good English communication and basic digital reporting skills. ✅ Valid Qatar driving licence will be an advantage. Candidates with experience in **facilities management, utility substations, infrastructure projects, commercial buildings or 24\-hour critical\-power operations** will be preferred.
