**Electrical Design Engineer (5–10 Years) – Qatar** **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Job Type:** Full\-time **Experience Required:** 5–10 years (Electrical Design – MEP) **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced **Electrical Design Engineer (5–10 years)** to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in electrical design for MEP/building services projects, with hands\-on experience working with Qatar authority standards including **Kahramaa, QCS, Ashghal, and Civil Defense**. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare and review **electrical design drawings**, SLDs, load schedules, cable sizing, LV/MV layouts, and lighting calculations. * Ensure all designs fully comply with: * **Kahramaa regulations** * **Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS)** * **Civil Defense standards** * NEC, IEC, NFPA codes * Prepare technical documents including **BOQs, technical specifications, material submittals**, and design reports. * Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. * Conduct **site visits, inspections**, and provide engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning. * Review shop drawings, method statements, and vendor submissions for compliance. * Assist in obtaining **local authority approvals** (KM, QCD, Municipality, etc.). * Participate in design meetings and provide technical input and solutions. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in **Electrical Engineering**. * **5–10 years of experience** in electrical design for building services/MEP projects. * Strong experience with **Qatar authority requirements** (Kahramaa / QCS). * Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a strong advantage. * Experience with ETAP, Dialux, or similar software. * Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
