Ensure drawings comply with industry codes and project requirements Mechanical Draftsman **Location:** Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **Industry:** Oil \& Gas / Petrochemical / Industrial Maintenance Job Summary One of my Client seeking a skilled and detail\-oriented **Mechanical Draftsman** to support engineering and maintenance projects by preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, and fabrication details. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, supervisors, and project teams to produce high\-quality drawings that comply with project specifications and international standards. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings, and as\-built drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software. * Develop layouts, sections, isometric drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings for mechanical equipment, piping, and steel structures. * Revise and update drawings based on engineering comments and site modifications. * Review engineering documents, specifications, and technical data before drafting. * Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy. * Maintain proper document control and drawing revisions. * Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and project requirements. * Assist in preparing material take\-offs and supporting technical documentation when required. Qualifications * Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related discipline. * Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software is preferred. Experience * Minimum **3–5 years** of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in Oil \& Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Industrial Plant, or Heavy Engineering projects. * Experience preparing fabrication, piping, equipment, and maintenance drawings. * Knowledge of international engineering and drafting standards. * Experience with shutdown or maintenance projects is an advantage. Required Skills * Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and fabrication practices. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Good communication skills in English. * Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. * Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
