Assist with annual audits and quarterly external reporting **The Role** Accountant – Qatar CLIENT Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are urgently seeking an Accountant to be based in their office in Doha, Qatar. RESPONSIBILITIES * Conducting the accounts payable cycle and accounts receivable cycle * Preparing payment batches * Conducting AR collection meetings * Carrying out monthly invoice billing to customers and following\-up on collections * Executing month\-end closure tasks: bank uploads, GL entries (accruals, prepayments, provisions), reconciling intercompany balances, etc. * Reporting the consolidated financial statements to the company’s head office, on a monthly basis * Preparing quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations * Conducting quarterly external reporting on financial information to one of the company’s investments in Qatar * Finalising annual reports and assisting with the audit * Updating the automated billing system on a monthly basis **Requirements** PROFILE * Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, ideally with a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA * At least 8 years’ experience in accounting, with 2\-3 years in a similar role * Solid understanding of Qatari accounting rules and regulations * Fluent in spoken and written English * Immediate availability **About the company** Linum Consult is a niche global consultancy specialising in international recruitment of white collar workers across the Construction \& Engineering, Mining and Oil \& Gas sectors.
