They will monitor database performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient database operations. Additionally, they are expected to implement security measures to protect database integrity and confidentiality, manage access controls, and perform regular backups to prevent data loss. * The role also involves applying database updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure databases are running on current and supported software versions, minimizing vulnerabilities. * The DBA will provide technical support for database issues, troubleshoot problems, and offer solutions to ensure continuous database availability and reliability. * Furthermore, they will execute data cleansing processes, ensuring data integrity through detection and correction of inaccuracies, analyze cleansing outcomes, provide insights into data quality issues, and identify improvement opportunities.
