Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician reprocesses reusable instrumentation and assembles supplies for surgical procedures. Highlights: 1. Reprocesses reusable instrumentation (flexible endoscopes etc.) 2. Picks and assembles consumable supplies for surgical procedures 3. Works within a high-tech facility with world-class patient care The Technician \- Sterile Processing Department under the Sterile Processing (CSSD) reprocesses all reusable instrumentation (flexible endoscopes etc.) which includes disassembly of the instrument, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging and sterilization. The Technician also picks consumable supplies for surgical procedures and assembles them along with the instrumentation into the case cart.
