Key role in stock management, expiry control, and inventory accuracy **Position Summary** The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the full performance of multiple retail outlets through daily field\-based supervision, continuous store rotation, and hands\-on operational control. The role ensures strong sales growth, optimal stock movement, strict expiry control, improved productivity, and consistent execution of company standards across all branches. The position requires daily presence in stores, with continuous movement between locations based on operational needs, performance evaluation, stock conditions, and business priorities. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Field\-Based Store Management** * Work daily inside retail outlets across all assigned branches. * Rotate between stores based on performance, operational needs, and priority issues. * Conduct continuous store evaluations covering sales, stock, operations, and staff performance. * Implement immediate corrective actions during store visits. * Ensure consistent execution of company standards across all locations. **2\. Sales \& Revenue Management** * Drive daily sales performance across all stores. * Increase revenue through upselling, cross\-selling, and promotional execution. * Improve conversion rates, basket size, and customer value. * Monitor sales performance per store and implement corrective actions. **3\. Stock Control \& Product Movement** * Monitor all product movements between warehouse and retail stores. * Control stock distribution based on sales performance and demand per branch. * Ensure accurate tracking of all inbound and outbound stock movements. * Manage inter\-branch transfers to balance inventory levels. * Ensure all stock movements are properly documented and recorded. * Minimize stock discrepancies, losses, and unrecorded movements. **4\. Expiry \& Product Control** * Monitor expiry dates across all retail outlets on a daily basis. * Implement strict FIFO/FEFO systems for all products. * Identify near\-expiry products and take immediate action (promotion, transfer, clearance). * Reduce waste and financial loss caused by expired or damaged products. * Conduct regular expiry checks and enforce compliance in all stores. * Ensure proper handling and segregation of expired or unsellable items. **5\. Inventory Management** * Ensure optimal stock levels across all stores at all times. * Prevent stock shortages, overstocking, and stock imbalance between branches. * Coordinate with warehouse and procurement for replenishment. * Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation. * Improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage. **6\. Store Performance \& Productivity** * Evaluate daily store productivity and operational efficiency. * Identify underperforming stores and implement improvement actions. * Monitor KPIs including sales, stock turnover, waste levels, and labor efficiency. * Optimize stock allocation to maximize store performance. **7\. Team Supervision \& Training** * Supervise store sales teams across all branches. * Conduct on\-the\-job training in sales, stock handling, and product knowledge. * Ensure staff compliance with stock rotation, expiry control, and SOPs. * Improve discipline, performance, and execution standards across all stores. **8\. Customer Experience \& Execution** * Ensure consistent customer service standards across all stores. * Monitor product availability, presentation, and merchandising execution. * Ensure promotional items are correctly displayed and rotated. * Handle escalated customer issues when required. **9\. Communication \& Management Liaison** * Act as the main point of contact between retail employees and management. * Communicate management instructions, updates, and operational decisions to all store teams. * Collect feedback, operational issues, and challenges from stores and report them to management. * Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication between all stores and head office. * Ensure execution of management decisions across all branches. **10\. Reporting \& Analysis** * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering sales, stock movement, expiry levels, and store performance. * Track KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, inventory turnover, waste, and productivity. * Report operational risks, issues, and improvement opportunities to management. * Provide recommendations to improve performance and profitability. **11\.
