Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure quality standards. **Job Title:** Civil Engineer – Building Maintenance \& Construction **Location:** Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **Experience:** Minimum 5 years Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Civil Engineer** with strong hands\-on experience in **building maintenance, civil construction, renovation, and repair works**. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating civil maintenance and construction activities, ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to approved specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and manage **building maintenance and civil construction works** at various sites. * Inspect buildings and identify civil defects, structural issues, water leakage, cracks, damaged finishes, and other maintenance requirements. * Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective civil maintenance activities. * Supervise renovation, refurbishment, modification, and repair works. * Manage works related to **concrete, blockwork, plastering, painting, tiling, waterproofing, flooring, roofing, and masonry**. * Supervise repair and maintenance of walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors, windows, and other building elements. * Coordinate civil works with **MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance teams**. * Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, work orders, and method statements. * Prepare material requirements, quantities, estimates, and work scopes for maintenance and construction activities. * Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to requirements. * Conduct site inspections and verify the quality of completed works. * Identify technical problems and provide practical solutions. * Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance/construction reports. * Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments. * Ensure all works comply with applicable **Qatar regulations, project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE procedures**. * Support emergency civil maintenance activities when required. * Participate in inspections, snagging, rectification, and final handover of completed works. Required Experience The candidate should have practical experience in: * Building maintenance and facility\-related civil works. * Building construction and renovation. * Civil repair and refurbishment works. * Concrete and structural repairs. * Masonry, blockwork, plastering, and screeding. * Waterproofing and water\-leakage rectification. * Painting, tiling, flooring, and ceiling works. * Roofing and external building works. * Roads, paving, walkways, and drainage works. * Preparing BOQs, material requirements, and cost estimates. * Supervising contractors and maintenance teams. * Reading and interpreting civil/architectural drawings. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering**. * Minimum **5 years of relevant experience** in building maintenance and construction. * Previous experience in **Qatar** is preferred. * Experience in commercial buildings, residential buildings, facilities, or construction projects is an advantage. * Good knowledge of civil construction methods and building maintenance practices. * Good knowledge of HSE and quality requirements. * Good English communication skills. * **Valid Qatar Driving License** is preferred. Software Skills * AutoCAD – good working knowledge. * Microsoft Excel and Word. * Ability to prepare reports, BOQs, material lists, and basic cost estimates.
