Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle repair Job Description: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic **Position:** Heavy Vehicle Mechanic **Department:** Workshop / Maintenance **Location:** Qatar **Experience Required:** Minimum 5 years **Preferred Experience:** GCC experience preferred Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop team. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles such as buses, trucks, pickups, and other commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, hands\-on experience, and the ability to work independently in a busy workshop environment. Key Responsibilities * Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in heavy vehicles. * Carry out preventive maintenance and routine service as per schedule. * Repair and replace engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension, steering systems, clutches, cooling systems, and other vehicle components. * Diagnose faults using manual inspection and diagnostic tools. * Perform breakdown repairs and support emergency maintenance requirements. * Ensure all repair work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. * Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance work completed. * Coordinate with supervisors, service advisors, and parts teams for smooth workflow. * Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain a clean working area. * Ensure vehicles are roadworthy before release. Requirements * Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. * Experience working on buses, trucks, pickups, and commercial vehicles. * GCC experience is preferred. * Good knowledge of diesel engines, transmission systems, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. * Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults independently. * Knowledge of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices. * Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines. * Basic English communication skills preferred. * Technical certification or diploma in automobile/mechanical engineering is an advantage.
