They work across both public and private sectors, ensuring infrastructure projects are safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible. **Key Duties \& ResponsibilitiesProject Planning \& Design** * Analyze long\-range plans, survey reports, maps, and geologic data to establish project requirements * Plan and design major civil projects using computer\-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or MicroStation * Develop construction specifications, procedures, and technical drawings * Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications **Site Management \& Supervision** * Oversee construction sites to ensure work is completed on time and within budget * Conduct field inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards * Direct or participate in surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations **Technical Analysis \& Feasibility** * Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, and environmental impact assessments * Test soils and building materials (concrete, asphalt, steel) to determine foundation adequacy and material strength * Prepare technical reports based on survey and field data analysis **Project Management \& Coordination** * Estimate quantities, costs, and timelines for materials, equipment, and labor * Prepare contract documents and review/evaluate tenders for construction projects * Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, government agencies, and other engineers * Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws **Required Skills \& QualificationsEducational Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field * Professional Engineering (PE) license required for many senior and supervisory roles **Core Technical Skills** * **Mathematics \& Physics**: Strong foundation in calculus, trigonometry, and mechanics * **CAD \& Engineering Software**: Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, MATLAB, or similar tools * **Construction Knowledge**: Understanding of building materials, methods, and structural analysis **Professional Skills** * **Problem\-Solving**: Ability to identify and evaluate complex problems and develop cost\-effective, safe solutions * **Communication**: Strong written and verbal skills for presenting reports to diverse audiences and coordinating teams * **Leadership**: Capability to manage projects and supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers * **Organization**: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain accurate records Pay: QAR170,000\.00 \- QAR195,000\.00 per year Work Location: In person
