**Job Summary**
An Electrical QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer ensures that all electrical installations, materials, and workmanship on a construction or manufacturing project meet specified standards, codes, and client requirements.
**Core Duties and Responsibilities**
**Documentation and Review**
* Review technical specifications, electrical drawings, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
* Prepare Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
* Draft Method Statements detailing how electrical works will be executed safely and correctly.
* Maintain quality records, including material receiving reports and test logs.
**Material Inspection**
* Inspect incoming electrical materials to ensure compliance with approved data sheets.
* Verify material certificates, mill test reports, and compliance documents.
* Reject defective or non\-compliant electrical components and issue reports.
* Oversee proper storage and handling of sensitive electrical equipment.
**Site Inspection and Testing**
* Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations like conduits, cabling, and grounding.
* Witness pre\-commissioning tests include insulation resistance, continuity, and earth resistance.
* Monitor the installation of major equipment like transformers, switchgears, and generators.
* Coordinate with third\-party inspectors and client representatives for official sign\-offs.
**Non\-Conformance Management**
* Identify site deviations, defects, or non\-compliant installation practices.
* Issue Non\-Conformance Reports (NCR) to construction teams.
* Propose Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
* Follow up on outstanding NCRs to ensure rectification work is completed.
**Non\-Conformance Management**
