Summary: Oversee and manage all aspects of lifting operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient execution through planning, supervision, equipment inspection, and HSE adherence. Highlights: 1. Prepare and review critical and non-critical lifting plans and risk assessments. 2. Act as Appointed Person/Lifting Supervisor for all site lifting operations. 3. Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected, certified, and fit for purpose. Lift Planning \& Engineering * Prepare and review Lifting Plans, Lift Studies, and Risk Assessments for all critical and non\-critical lifts. * Calculate crane capacities, load charts, rigging configurations, and ground bearing pressures. * Develop method statements for complex, tandem, and blind lifts in coordination with structural engineers. * Review and approve third\-party lifting plans submitted by subcontractors. Supervision of Lifting Operations * Act as Appointed Person / Lifting Supervisor for all lifting operations on site. * Coordinate with rigging/lifting supervisor, crane operators, riggers, and signal persons to ensure safe lift execution. * Conduct pre\-lift meetings and briefings with all personnel involved in lifting activities. * Manage exclusion zones and ensure bystander safety during all lift operations. Equipment Inspection \& Certification * Ensure all lifting equipment and accessories (cranes, slings, shackles, spreader beams) are inspected, certified, and fit for purpose. * Maintain lifting equipment registers and ensure valid third\-party inspection certificates are on file. * Remove defective equipment from service and arrange repair or replacement as required. * Oversee statutory inspections of lifting equipment in accordance with Qatar and international standards. HSE Compliance * Enforce compliance with Qatar Civil Defense regulations, BS 7121, ASME B30 series, and client HSE requirements. * Implement the project Lifting Management Plan and permit\-to\-work system for all lifting activities. * Investigate lifting\-related incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and prepare root cause analysis reports. * Conduct regular lifting\-specific toolbox talks, inductions, and competency assessments for riggers and operators. Reporting \& Documentation * Prepare and submit daily lifting logs, inspection records, and weekly lifting activity reports. * Maintain comprehensive documentation for all critical lifts including post\-lift records.
