Job Purpose
To execute formwork and shuttering works for reinforced concrete structures in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and understand structural drawings and formwork details.
* Set out and install formwork for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, stairs, and other concrete elements.
* Measure, cut, assemble, and install plywood, timber, and other formwork materials.
* Ensure formwork is properly aligned, levelled, plumbed, supported, and adequately braced.
* Check dimensions and levels before concrete casting.
* Ensure formwork is sufficiently tight to prevent concrete leakage.
* Apply approved form\-release agent correctly.
* Install and remove formwork safely without damaging concrete or adjacent works.
* Coordinate with Steel Fixers and other trades before concrete pouring.
* Rectify formwork defects identified during inspection.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
* Keep the work area clean and organized.
* Follow project safety requirements and instructions from the Foreman/Site Engineer.
Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Shuttering/Formwork Carpenter in building construction.
* Good knowledge of conventional and plywood formwork systems.
* Experience with foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and stairs.
* Ability to read and understand basic structural drawings.
* Good knowledge of levels, dimensions, alignment, plumb, and formwork supports.
* Ability to work accurately and safely under site conditions.
* Physically fit and capable of working in a construction environment.
Pay: From QAR1,500\.00 per month
