Engage in BIM coordination and ensure design compliance with standards **Job Title: Sr.Design Engineer – Mechanical** **Job Location: Qatar** **Educational Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university. **Registrations / Certifications:** * UPDA/MMUP Certified Mechanical Engineer Grade A (Mandatory) * QCDD Approved * Other certification like NFPA, ASHRAE, LEED/ESTIDAMA **Experience:** * 10 to 15 years of experience in mechanical system design for High rise commercial, residential \& hospitality building. * Minimum 8\-10 years of GCC experience. * Strong technical background in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting system design in accordance with international and local authority standards (QCDD \& Kahramaa, etc.). **Computer Software Proficiency:** * Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office. * Knowledge of design software such as HAP, Elite, * Familiar with BIM coordination tools **Duties \& Responsibilities:** * Develop mechanical designs including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems based on project specifications and applicable codes. * Perform load calculations using design software (HAP or equivalent) and determine equipment capacities and duct/piping sizes. * Identify design and constructability issues and raise RFIs. * Prepare design drawings, schematics, and single\-line diagrams for all mechanical systems in coordination with architectural and structural layouts. * Review design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project and authority standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, CIBSE). * Select and specify HVAC and plumbing equipment including chillers, FAHUs, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, and control devices. * Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and design reports. * Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other disciplines (electrical, civil, architectural) to resolve technical issues and ensure proper integration of services. * Prepare shop drawings to ensure compliance with approved design intent and authority requirements. * Liaise with local authorities (QCDD \& Kahramaa, etc.) for design approvals, NOCs, and compliance verification. * Able to identify the Value Engineering \& cost saving opportunities. * Participate in BIM coordination meetings and ensure mechanical services are properly routed and clash\-free. **DESIGN ENGINEER MECHANICAL** * Support the QA/QC team in reviewing inspection and testing procedures from a design compliance perspective. * Ensure all designs are properly documented, updated, and controlled according to ISO quality procedures. * Prepare as\-built documentation and final design reports for project handover. * Assist in commissioning plan preparation and system performance validation as per design criteria. * Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of authority regulations, energy efficiency requirements, and new design technologies. **Availability to Join:** * Immediate or ASAP.
