Contribute to clinical, administrative, and finance operations **Role Summary** As a Software Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the digital systems that keep our hospital running. You will be responsible for administering and maintaining our Hospital Information System (HIS), resolving software issues raised by clinical and administrative users, coordinating with system vendors, and producing accurate reports for management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical troubleshooting background, experience supporting enterprise software in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, and the ability to work patiently with non\-technical users while handling confidential patient and employee data with complete discretion. **Key Responsibilities** * **System Administration:** Administer the Hospital Information System (HIS/EMR), including user account creation, role and access\-rights management, and module configuration. * **User Support:** Log, prioritize, and resolve software incidents and service requests from clinical, administrative, and finance departments, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. * **Vendor Coordination:** Serve as the primary point of contact with software vendors for upgrades, patches, bug fixes, and enhancement requests, and follow up until issues are closed. * **Reporting:** Build and maintain reports and data extracts to support clinical operations, HR, finance, and management decision\-making. * **Integrations:** Support and monitor interfaces between the HIS and laboratory, radiology/PACS, pharmacy and billing systems, escalating integration failures promptly. * **Training and Documentation:** Train end users on new modules and workflows, and prepare clear user guides, SOPs, and system documentation. * **Project Support:** Participate in testing, data migration, go\-live, and post\-implementation support for new systems and modules. * **Data Integrity and Compliance:** Support data accuracy checks and backup verification, and adhere strictly to hospital information\-security policies and Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) regulations governing patient data. **Qualifications \& Requirements** * **Experience:** Minimum 4 years of experience supporting enterprise software applications. Previous experience with a Hospital Information System or in a healthcare environment is a must. * **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. * **Technical Skills:** Working knowledge of SQL and report writing; understanding of database structures, application troubleshooting, and system integration concepts. Familiarity with international health information exchange standards is a strong plus. * **Language Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must * **Soft Skills:** Structured problem\-solving, clear documentation habits, patience when supporting non\-technical staff, and the ability to remain composed when systems are down and pressure is high. * **Availability:** Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid QID and transferable NOC.
