**Private Equity Director**
We are seeking an experienced and strategic **Private Equity Director** to lead our investment activities in Qatar and the broader region. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the full investment lifecycle—from deal origination and due diligence to structuring, closing, and post\-investment value creation—while delivering strong returns for our investors.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in private equity, investment banking, or corporate development, with deep expertise in deal execution, financial modeling, and portfolio management.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Investment Strategy \& Deal Origination**
* Assist the Head of Private Equity in setting and achieving the division’s strategic goals and investment thesis
* Lead origination efforts and build strong regional and international networks to source high\-quality deal flow
* Identify, evaluate, and screen potential investment opportunities aligned with the fund’s strategy
**Deal Execution**
* Oversee the entire investment process from origination through due diligence, legal documentation, structuring, and closing
* Act as the key person for structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions
* Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis to support investment decisions
* Liaise with external parties, advisors, legal counsel, and management teams
**Portfolio Management \& Value Creation**
* Perform post\-acquisition monitoring and actively participate in operational improvements, reorganizations, and expansions of portfolio companies
* Work closely with portfolio company management to develop growth strategies and operational processes
* Support financing requirements, recapitalizations, and exit planning for portfolio assets
**Team Leadership \& People Management**
* Provide supervisory responsibilities to Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents, and support staff
* Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, providing guidance and developing their capabilities
* Evaluate performance of team members and assist in setting development goals
* Manage workload, deliverables, and priorities for direct reports
**Investor \& Stakeholder Relations**
* Prepare and deliver performance reporting, including IRRs and other key metrics
* Manage relationships with investors, limited partners, and key stakeholders
* Provide ad hoc investor reporting and communicate investment updates
**Strategy, Budget \& Administration**
* Assist the Head of Private Equity in preparing the division’s annual operating budget
* Support senior management with general administrative and strategic issues
* Ensure the team operates within the defined control environment and compliance framework
**Qualifications \& ExperienceEducation**
* Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
* CFA designation achieved or in\-progress is highly desirable
**Experience**
* Several years of relevant experience in **private equity**, **investment banking**, **M\&A**, or at a **Big 4** accounting firm or reputable boutique
* Proven track record of successfully executing private equity transactions from origination to exit
* Experience leading deal teams and managing complex transactions is essential
* Regional (MENA/GCC) experience is an advantage but not required
**Technical Skills**
* Strong knowledge of **investment processes**, **valuation**, and **deal structuring**
* Excellent **financial modeling** and analytical skills
* Experience with **legal documentation**, **leveraged finance**, and **debt financing**
* Familiarity with investor reporting, IRR calculations, and waterfall structures
**Behavioral Skills**
* Strong **strategic thinking** and business acumen
* Excellent **communication**, **negotiation**, and **relationship\-building** skills, especially at senior levels
* Highly self\-motivated with strong leadership and team management capabilities

**Decision\-Making Authority**
* Supervise Associates and set workload requirements and deliverables
* Make key recommendations on investment decisions within delegated authority

Pay: QAR120\.00 \- QAR150\.00 per hour
