Ensure safe and hygienic laboratory environment Training Technician – Water **Location:** Qatar **Job Type:** Full\-time **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **Education:** Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and motivated **Training Technician – Water** to support laboratory operations and practical training activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, tools, and water systems, ensuring a safe and hygienic laboratory environment, and assisting lecturers with practical training sessions and assessments. This role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical and water systems, preventative maintenance, equipment calibration, and laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities * Maintain custody of laboratory equipment, tools, and materials. * Ensure laboratory safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained. * Prepare laboratory equipment, tools, and materials for practical training sessions. * Support lecturers in conducting practical laboratory lessons and continuous assessments. * Perform preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and repairs on laboratory equipment and machinery. * Troubleshoot equipment failures, leaks, and system malfunctions, and carry out necessary repairs. * Operate and monitor pumps, valves, meters, instruments, and other water treatment equipment. * Calibrate, modify, and repair instrumentation and control equipment, including flow meters, recorders, and water quality monitoring devices. * Maintain laboratory machinery and ensure an uninterrupted water supply for all equipment. * Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance, ISO standards, Risk Management, and Information Security Management System (ISMS) requirements. * Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Perform any other duties assigned by management. Qualifications * Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. * Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is an advantage. * Minimum of **2 years of relevant experience** in laboratory maintenance, water systems, or mechanical maintenance. * Good knowledge of mechanical equipment, water treatment systems, pumps, valves, and instrumentation. * Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and water system equipment. * Good communication skills in English (spoken and written). * Arabic language skills are preferred.
