Washes and peels fresh fruits and vegetables. Measures, weighs, and mixes ingredients. Prepares and cooks food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. Prepares cold food items. Operates ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Tests food to ensure it is cooked thoroughly. Monitors food quality during preparation. Prepares and cleans food work areas. Portions and serves food in appropriate containers and quantities. Cleans and sanitizes kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment. Verifies and confirms that appliance and food temperatures are accurate. Complies with all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; reports maintenance and repair needs, incidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; and completes safety training and certifications.
