Summary: This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring production costs, managing stock control, preparing accounting reports, and ensuring internal control compliance. Coordinate cycle counts and recommend inventory write-offs **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES** **Inventory Accounting** * Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system. * Record and verify all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments. * Ensure proper accounting treatment for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, consumables, and spare parts. * Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations between physical stock and ERP records. **Production \& Cost Control** * Monitor material consumption against approved Bills of Materials. * Verify production orders and inventory transactions generated by the production department. * Monitor production variances and investigate abnormal material usage. * Support product costing and standard cost updates. * Assist in calculating manufacturing costs and inventory valuation. **Stock Control** * Coordinate monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory. * Investigate inventory shortages, overages, and stock variances. * Monitor slow\-moving, obsolete, damaged, and expired inventory. * Recommend inventory write\-offs and provisions in accordance with company policy. **Accounting Reporting** * Prepare monthly inventory valuation reports. * Reconcile inventory\-related General Ledger accounts. * Support month\-end and year\-end financial closing. * Prepare inventory reports for management and auditors. **Internal Controls** * Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures. * Review warehouse documentation for completeness and accuracy. * Monitor segregation of duties within inventory processes. * Recommend improvements to inventory controls and operational efficiency. * Ensure all inventory transactions are properly authorized.
