Opportunity to work in diverse facility environments The Electrician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. The role ensures that all electrical works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Qatar regulations, company standards, and preventive maintenance schedules. **Key Responsibilities:** * Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, power outlets, distribution boards, and electrical equipment. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations within assigned facilities. * Diagnose electrical faults and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime. * Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure safe operation. * Replace defective electrical components, switches, circuit breakers, sockets, cables, lighting fixtures, and control devices. * Conduct routine testing of electrical systems using appropriate measuring instruments. * Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and electrical breakdowns. * Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. * Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with electrical safety regulations and company procedures. * Coordinate with other maintenance personnel, contractors, and supervisors to complete assigned work efficiently. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used. * Ensure proper housekeeping of work areas and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. * Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. **Qualifications and Requirements:** * Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field. * Minimum **5 years** of experience as an Electrician in Facility Management, Building Maintenance, or MEP Maintenance. * Valid Electrical Trade Certificate is preferred. * Additional certifications related to electrical safety are an advantage. * Experience in commercial buildings, residential compounds, hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, or office buildings is preferred. * Experience working in the GCC, preferably Qatar, is an advantage. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, LV distribution, lighting systems, and power circuits. * Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently. * Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters. * Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures. * Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring schematics. * Basic knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage. * Familiarity with Qatar electrical regulations and safety standards.
