Summary: Fabricate, position, align, and fit structural metal products, ensuring conformance to specifications through precise technical work and adherence to safety. Highlights: 1. Committed to OHS&E standards and safe work practices. **Objective:** Fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of structural metal products. Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes. Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers. **Responsibilities:** **Technical responsibilites** * Bends shapes and joins the fabricated parts to required specifications. * Reads, interprets and examines drawings, P\&ID’s, piping isometrics and specifications. * Review all fabrication drawings prior to entering the production line for correct measurements and specification. Marks metal members to guide, for instance, cutting, drilling and welding. * Verify the material (Pipe Structural and/or Fittings) to ensure that it’s correct per drawing requirements (size, rating, grade, project \#, \& phase). Notify Shop Foreman of any discrepancies. * Use Pipe/Beam Cutting Machine, use Beveling Machine to Cut Pipe to Required Length or Selects the right oxy\-fuel cutting torch nozzle and adjusts flame to the proper work method and material. * Position the parts and prepares the surface to be welded. Transfer Heat Number to drawing (s)/cut sheets when complete, turn in to the Shop Foreman. * Note Pre weld dimensions on Fitter Drawings **General responsibilites** * Comply with OHS\&E Manual requirements. * Follow OHS \& E guidelines, specific procedures, plans and programs. * Lead and/or participate in all programs relevant to OHS\&E Management systems manual. * Report unsafe acts/unsafe conditions * Stop any work if found to be unsafe * Follow and respect signage’s, HSSE bulletins and posters concerning OHS\&E preventive programs * Report incidents immediately to the Superior and/or management or to the HSSE personnel * Provide guidance to employees when needed to ensure OHS\&E risk are mitigated, minimized or prevented * Inspect all equipment daily (torch, torch hoses, grinder, levels, tapes, etc.) **Qualifications:** * Age above 35 and able to speaks and write fluent English * Familiar with most of piping material that can be used in Oil \& Gas Operations. * Should have passed 2 years full time training in a technical institute as an apprentice OR five years’ experience in fabrication shop/site/ Oil \& gas plant, refinery or petrochemical industry in similar position. * Knowledge in isometrics and techniques to site measure, cut, setup and prepare for welding piping and structural steel made of a variety of materials.
