Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork **Job Summary:** A Construction Laborer (General Construction Worker) provides essential support on construction sites by assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing work areas, handling materials, operating basic equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role involves physical work in various weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and quality. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare and clean construction sites before, during, and after work. * Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment. * Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, masons, and other skilled trades as required. * Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and perform site preparation tasks. * Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively. * Mix and pour concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials when needed. * Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, barriers, and temporary structures. * Remove debris and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard\-free work environment. * Follow construction plans and supervisor instructions accurately. * Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or incidents promptly. * Perform other general labor duties as assigned. **Requirements:** * High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. * Previous experience in construction or general labor is an advantage but not essential. * Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25–50 kg, standing for extended periods, bending, climbing, and working outdoors. * Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety procedures. * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. * Good communication and problem\-solving skills. * Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts when required. * Valid driver's license or construction safety certification is an advantage (depending on project requirements). **Working Conditions:** * Full\-time position. * Work is performed outdoors on residential, commercial, or industrial construction sites. * Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and heavy machinery. * Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety boots, gloves, high\-visibility clothing, and eye protection must be worn at all times.
