**Customer Service Representative / Patient Services Representative**
A Customer Service Representative / Patient Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by assisting patients with appointment scheduling, registration, inquiries, and administrative support while ensuring a positive healthcare experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
* Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
* Register patients and accurately update personal, insurance, and medical information.
* Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and online inquiries promptly.
* Provide information about healthcare services, clinic policies, and procedures.
* Verify insurance eligibility and assist with billing or payment inquiries when needed.
* Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
* Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
* Resolve patient concerns or complaints professionally and escalate complex issues when necessary.
* Process referrals, medical forms, and other administrative documents.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
**Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is an advantage.
* Previous experience in customer service, reception, or a healthcare setting is preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and problem\-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) or appointment scheduling systems.
