Career growth and training opportunities **Job Title** **Elevator Maintenance Technician** **Job Summary** **We are hiring an Elevator Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators and related vertical transportation equipment. The role covers mechanical and electrical basics to ensure safe operation, minimize breakdowns, and maintain high service quality.** **Key Responsibilities** * **Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and routine inspections for elevators.** * **Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues (door mechanism problems, guide shoes/rollers, brakes, alignment, vibration/noise, lubrication, wear parts).** * **Perform basic electrical checks (safety circuit continuity, switches/sensors, door contacts, limit switches) and report advanced electrical faults to the electronics team when required.** * **Adjust and maintain door operators, locks, closers, sills, hangers, and related hardware.** * **Inspect and maintain key systems: traction machines, ropes/belts (visual checks), brake system, governor/safety gear (as per procedure), buffers, and car/top\-of\-car components.** * **Ensure proper cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and leveling checks during maintenance visits.** * **Replace consumables and spare parts as needed and report parts requirements.** * **Conduct functional tests after repairs and confirm safe operation before handover.** * **Complete service documentation: checklists, fault reports, parts used, and recommendations.** * **Follow safety procedures and comply with company standards and local regulations.** * **Respond to breakdown calls and support emergency recovery when required.** **Requirements (Must Have)** * **Technical diploma/certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics or relevant hands\-on experience.** * **2\+ years experience in elevator maintenance (preferred).** * **Good understanding of elevator mechanical systems and maintenance practices.** * **Ability to read maintenance checklists, basic drawings/schematics, and troubleshooting guides/manuals.** * **Ability to use hand tools and basic test tools (multimeter is a plus).** * **Physically fit for field work (machine rooms, shafts, heights when required).** * **Valid driving license (if required for your operation).** **Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)** * **Experience with door systems and troubleshooting leveling/ride\-quality issues.** * **Familiarity with elevator safety procedures (lockout/tagout, safe access, top\-of\-car work).** * **Ability to communicate professionally with customers and building management.** * **Experience preparing maintenance reports and parts requests.** **Working Conditions** * **Field\-based role (multiple sites).** * **Rotational on\-call / emergency response may be required.** * **Night/weekend work depending on breakdowns and schedules.** **What We Offer** * **Salary package (based on experience)** * **Overtime / on\-call allowance (if applicable)** * **Tools and technical support** * **Career growth and training** Job Type: Full\-time Pay: QAR2,000\.00 \- QAR3,500\.00 per month
