Summary: The FLS Engineer will manage the design review, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and maintenance coordination of Fire & Life Safety systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and client requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and authorities for FLS activities. **FLS Engineer (Fire \& Life Safety Engineer)** **Position:** FLS Engineer **Industry:** Construction / Infrastructure / MEP **Experience Required:** Fire \& Life Safety systems experience in Qatar projects preferred Job Summary: The FLS Engineer will be responsible for the design review, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and maintenance coordination of Fire \& Life Safety systems for infrastructure, commercial, and building projects. The role ensures compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, Qatar Civil Defence (QCD) requirements, NFPA standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Review and supervise Fire \& Life Safety system installations in compliance with approved designs and specifications. * Ensure implementation of fire protection systems including fire alarm, firefighting, and life safety systems. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents. * Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and authorities for FLS activities. * Inspect installation works for fire alarm systems, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, hose reels, suppression systems, and emergency systems. * Monitor testing and commissioning activities including functional testing, integrated system testing, and authority inspections. * Ensure compliance with **Qatar Civil Defence (QCD), NFPA standards, and project requirements**. * Coordinate with MEP, electrical, mechanical, and civil teams to resolve technical issues. * Review inspection requests, test reports, commissioning reports, and handover documentation. * Identify site issues, prepare technical reports, and support corrective actions. * Ensure quality control and HSE requirements are maintained during project execution. * Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project teams. Required Experience \& Skills: * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire Engineering or related field. * Minimum **10 years of experience** in Fire \& Life Safety systems. * Experience with **Qatar projects and QCD approval processes** preferred. * Strong knowledge of: * Fire alarm systems * Firefighting systems * Fire pumps and water tanks * Sprinkler systems * Hydrant \& hose reel systems * Emergency lighting and exit systems * Fire suppression systems * Knowledge of **NFPA standards, QCS requirements, and Civil Defence regulations**. * Experience in testing, commissioning, and authority approvals. * Ability to read fire protection drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. * Good coordination skills with consultants, contractors, and clients. * QCDD certification/approval experience preferred.
