The Department of Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU\-Q) is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support the research program spanning the laboratories. **Responsibilities** : **Younis Lab** : 1\-Conducting experiments on the role of minor intron splicing in breast cancer. 2\- Setup and optimize new techniques, including but not limited to immuno\- fluorescence and colony formation assay. 3\-Required experiments and techniques are in the areas of Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics and Biochemistry. 4\-Data analysis. 5\-Supervise other researchers in the lab. 6\-Assist in writing reports and manuscripts. 7\-Setup next generation sequencing experiments (RNA\-Seq). 8\-Analyze and confirm RNA\-seq results. **Naik lab** : 1\-Working on several aspects of the project titled "Investigating PARP inhibition in colorectal cancer cell lines and combinatorial approaches to improve sensitivity". The successful candidate will contribute to laboratory\-based research involving mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, functional assays, data analysis, and laboratory management.
