The role includes monitoring security systems, responding to security incidents, supporting users on cybersecurity-related issues, and ensuring compliance with information security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities * Monitor security systems and detect threats and security vulnerabilities. * Respond to security incidents and contribute to investigations and root cause analysis. * Support the operation and management of cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software. * Implement security patches for systems and applications. * Review system logs and analyze security events. * Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with information security policies. * Provide technical support to users regarding security-related issues. * Contribute to the implementation of information security policies and procedures and ensure compliance. * Conduct periodic security assessments and assist in addressing vulnerabilities. * Prepare periodic reports on security incidents and compliance levels. * Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve security issues. * Participate in security awareness campaigns and educate employees on best practices. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. * One to three years of experience in IT security support or cybersecurity. * Professional certifications are preferred, such as: * CompTIA Security+ * CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) * SSCP * Microsoft Security Certifications * Cisco CyberOps or CCNA Security (if available) Required Skills * Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. * Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems. * Experience in network administration and TCP/IP protocols. * Knowledge of security monitoring tools and security information and event management (SIEM) systems. * Ability to analyze security logs and identify suspicious activities. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Effective communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to incidents. * Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Operational Responsibilities * Monitor and handle security alerts according to organizational procedures. * Document security incidents and corrective actions. * Participate in system recovery testing and business continuity planning. * Ensure enforcement of password policies and access management. * Support security audit and compliance activities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Response time to security incidents. * Time to remediate security vulnerabilities. * Compliance rate with information security policies. * Number of recurring security incidents. * User satisfaction level with security support services. * Adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Work Environment * Full-time position. * May require working outside regular business hours or during weekends when handling critical security incidents. * Continuous collaboration with IT, infrastructure, compliance, and risk management teams.
