Job Overview
MG Industrial Supplies is seeking an experienced and commercially minded **Industrial Supply Director** to lead and develop the company's industrial supply, procurement, sourcing, inventory, and supplier management operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing an efficient and reliable supply strategy that supports business growth while maintaining competitive costs, high product quality, timely deliveries, and strong supplier relationships.
This is a senior leadership position requiring a combination of **strategic procurement expertise, industrial product knowledge, commercial awareness, operational leadership, and strong negotiation skills**. The Director will work closely with management, sales, warehouse, finance, and operations teams to ensure that the company maintains the right products, at the right cost, and at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the company's overall industrial supply and procurement strategy.
* Lead sourcing, purchasing, supplier selection, and supplier relationship management.
* Identify reliable local and international suppliers for industrial materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and related products.
* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, contracts, and long\-term supply agreements.
* Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, product availability, and emerging suppliers.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and manufacturers.
* Oversee inventory planning and ensure appropriate stock levels based on demand, sales forecasts, and business requirements.
* Reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality and service reliability.
* Establish procurement KPIs and monitor supplier performance, purchasing efficiency, inventory turnover, lead times, and cost savings.
* Work with the sales team to ensure product availability and support customer requirements.
* Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
* Develop alternative sourcing strategies to minimize supply\-chain disruptions and procurement risks.
* Review and approve major purchase orders, quotations, tenders, and commercial agreements within delegated authority.
* Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and supply\-chain team.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, increase efficiency, and strengthen profitability.
* Prepare regular management reports covering procurement performance, supplier activity, inventory, costs, risks, and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in **Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, Industrial Management**, or a related field.
* **10\+ years of relevant professional experience** in procurement, industrial supply, supply\-chain management, distribution, or a related field.
* At least **5 years in a managerial or senior leadership position**, preferably within industrial supplies, engineering, construction, manufacturing, oil \& gas, or related sectors.
* Strong knowledge of industrial products, materials, equipment, spare parts, or technical supplies.
* Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and commercial procurement.
* Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate competitive commercial terms.
* Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, logistics, and distribution operations.
* Experience managing budgets, procurement KPIs, cost\-reduction initiatives, and operational performance.
* Strong analytical, decision\-making, problem\-solving, and organizational skills.
* Excellent written and verbal **English communication skills**.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with **ERP, procurement, inventory, or supply\-chain management systems** is required; SAP or equivalent systems are an advantage.
* GCC or Qatar market experience is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
* Professional certification such as **CIPS, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent** is an advantage.
* Experience working with international manufacturers, distributors, and industrial suppliers.
* Knowledge of tendering, commercial evaluation, long\-term supply agreements, and procurement risk management.
* Experience in oil \& gas, MEP, construction, industrial maintenance, or engineering supply environments is highly desirable.
* Existing network of industrial suppliers and manufacturers in Qatar or the wider GCC is an advantage.
