Summary: Assist in carpentry work, including repair and construction of structures and equipment using wood and associated materials, while following established procedures. Highlights: 1. Focus on quality control and safety in carpentry and maintenance **Roles and Responsibilities** Assist in performing a variety of carpentry work in the maintenance department, such as repair and construction of structures and equipment made of wood or associated materials. * Repair and replace items such as furniture, wall coverings, acoustical ceiling panels, gypsum board, masonry or any other miscellaneous tasks such as wooden polishing, etc. * Designs, cuts, builds, and assembles wooden parts or furniture as requested. * Undertaking installation and repair tasks as may be required by the project * Making designs for gypsum ceilings based on the client and project requirement * Gauging and cutting materials as per the required size * Following the laid\-out processes and procedures while conducting tasks * Carving, assembling, and installing furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items where designated. * Read blueprints; mathematical and analytical skills are necessary to do material estimates. * Assemble and set prefabricated pieces. * Repairs and rebuilds various objects in wood, cardboard, PVC, etc. * Installs coating montages on doors, frames, and desks. * Operates various types of woodworking machines and electrical hand tools. * Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform the job functions. Accomodation and transportation by the company. **Qualifications, experience, and skills:** * Knowledge in standard practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety related to carpentry and maintenance work. * At least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity * Agile and active * Ability to communicate effectively and understand instructions in English * Ability to understand blueprints * Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines set for each task. Pay: Up to QAR1,800\.00 per month Work Location: In person
