Propose value engineering solutions without compromising quality **Job Title:** MEP Estimation Engineer **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Company:** (Leading MEP Contractor) **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **About the Role:** We are seeking a highly skilled and detail\-oriented **MEP Estimation Engineer** to join our dynamic team in Doha. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Qatari construction market and a proven track record in delivering accurate cost estimates for large\-scale MEP projects. This is a critical role for our pre\-contract team, requiring a professional who can bridge the gap between technical design and financial feasibility. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare accurate, competitive, and detailed cost estimates for Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems. * Analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work and potential risks. * Conduct comprehensive quantity take\-offs from design drawings. * Solicit and evaluate quotations from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers in Qatar. * Prepare and submit tender proposals, ensuring all documentation complies with local authority requirements. * Liaise with the design team to propose value engineering solutions without compromising quality. * Collaborate with project managers to ensure budget alignment. **Required Qualifications \& Experience:** * **UPDA/MME Certification:** Must hold a valid UPDA (Urban Planning and Development Authority) engineering accreditation. * **Local Regulations:** Extensive knowledge and practical experience dealing with **QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications), KAHRAMAA QCDD (Qatar General Electricity \& Water Corporation \- Distribution), and MOI (Ministry of Interior)** regulations and submission requirements. * **Industry Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience specifically as a **MEP Estimator in Qatar**. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in estimation software (such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or equivalent) and advanced MS Excel skills. * **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. **Preferred Skills:** * Experience working with a reputable MEP contractor in Qatar. * Strong negotiation and communication skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tender deadlines. Pay: QAR7,000\.00 \- QAR10,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
